Mailing inmates

Your address to receive personal mail has changed

All personal mail from family and friends such as letters, pictures and drawings will be digitally delivered to the inmate via the tablet’s “Facility Messages” app under the free profile.

You may send mail to inmates housed at the Pulaski County Detention Center by using the NEW following address:

IMPORTANT: To ensure your email gets delivered electronically make sure your family and friends include:

  • Complete facility name (no abbreviations) and state
  • Inmate’s full name and identifier
  • Sender’s full name and physical address
  • ONLY send personal mail such as letters, pictures, and drawings
  • Follow the guidelines of the facility for checks/money orders and attorney-client privileged mail and DO NOT send to the new (Phoenix, MD) address

Observing our mail policies will ensure that your loved one gets their mail quickly

Mail that does not meet our policies may be returned to sender or placed in the inmate’s property at the descretion of detention center staff.

Mail policies:

  • No newspapers, magazines, or books
  • No cards (birthday, anniversary, etc.)
  • No hand-drawn pictures (in any format)
  • No colored ink, marker, crayon, colored pencil, etc.
  • No photocopied sheets (pictures, documents, etc.)
  • No sexually explicit content
  • No excessive foul language
  • Letters must be written in English
  • Photos are permitted as follows:
    • Inmates are allowed five photos in their cells.  All other photos will be returned to the sender or may be placed in the inmate’s property at the discretion of detention center staff
    • No sexually explicit or suggestive photos will be permitted
